Becky Fleckner is a Philadelphia based artist with her M.A. in theater education (Emerson College, Boston). She moved to Philadelphia a year ago and is enjoying all the opportunities it has to offer. When she’s not teaching with us you will find her teaching with Theater Horizon, or stage managing and directing with Norristown Educational Theater, or going on many auditions in the area. Before she moved to Philadelphia she was living on St. John, USVI teaching theater to the children who live on the island. When she’s not teaching with us she usually has herself involved with many other projects in the area.
Victoria got the acting bug at the early age of six. She got her start and much more with the Delaware Children’s Theatre where she has been active for many, many years in a variety of different areas. From acting, directing, tech work and teaching, the DCT has been extremely instrumental in her love for theatre. She attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in 2004 with a B.F.A in Drama. Since then she has toured the country with a children’s show, directed high school plays, taught drama to children of all ages and worked at a Broadway theatre.
Kara Senich Zimmerman
Kara Senich Zimmerman is a 2006 cum laud graduate of Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Theater & Dance. Kara has worked with professional dance and theater companies throughout the east coast including Theater Ariel (Philadelphia, PA), Walnut Street Theater (Philadelphia, PA), Strand Theater Company (Baltimore, MD), dancetheaterX (Philadelphia, PA), Tiffany Mills Dance Company (New York, NY), and The Architects (Bethlehem, PA). Kara is currently a teaching artist at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD where she teaches, directs, and choreographs for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. In the fall of 2012, Kara will graduate from Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s of Science in Education and a focus in Neuro-Education.
Jessica is thrilled to be working with Child Drama Workshops, LTD as an Actor/Educator. Jessica is a graduate of DeSales University with a BA in Theatre specializing in acting and directing. She’s been performing since the age of 7 and has worked at various theatres in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Jessica’s theatre life is a well rounding one and she has experience in directing, performing, choreographing, costume design, and set design.
Jill Lawrence earned her BFA with honors in Musical Theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and her high school diploma from the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. She has performed with the Ziggaraut Theater in Los Angeles, The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, American Family Theaters and The Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival, just to name a few. For many years she welcomed visitors from all over the world as Betsy Ross at the Betsy Ross house. Jill has been an adjunct professor at Camden County College, a writer and tour guide for Once Upon A Nation and a guest storyteller at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. She spends way too much time knitting and has far too many animals. But Jill’s favorite role is being Mommy to her daughter Susan Isabelle and the new baby who is slated for arrival in May of 2013.
